File Magazine – Inspiration Through Unexpected Photography

"White Plumeria" by Ivan Wentland

We are artists, and therefore we are constantly hungry for a muse – inspiration to make us strive towards perfection.  In my latest quest through the cosmic internet, I stumbled upon FILE Magazine.  FILE Magazine’s subtitle, “A Collection of Unexpected Photography”, pretty much explains all.  In short, it’s a gallery of photographs.  But, like the subtitle would indicate, it’s not just any collection of photographs…it is a collection of photos with unique perspectives, non-traditional angles, bizarre portraits and inspiring compositions.  Each photo is awe inspiring, inspirational and top-notch amongst its peers.

Shown here is just one of the many great photos you’ll find at FILE.  This photograph, White Plumeria, is the brainchild of Ivan Wentland.

FILE is not unlike a Journal of photography.  You will find pages and pages of incredible photographs.  But unlike a typical Journal, you get more than just a name under the shot.  Many of the photographers featured at FILE have their own pages, and you will be given a link to their website.  I have been introduced to many great photographers through the site, and I expect to find some more.

So if you’re looking to feed your hunger for inspiration, you may find your muse at FILE Magazine.

Friday’s are Found days.  Every Friday, we will try to introduce you to a website, an inspiring video, some photos or even some inspiring article that we have found on the web.  If you have any suggestions for sites that should be hilighted here, please send a message through our contact form.
