Fresh

Breaking in a new lens is always fun.  I find myself photographing everything as if I were new to the world of photography.  I have to gain some more experience with my new lens, though.  For starters, it’s been months since I’ve worked with such a wide aperture (f/1.8).  I need to restore my knack for the depth of field.  This particular shot suffers, I think, from a depth of field that is much too narrow.  Still, there’s a certain charm of this shot that I like.
