Little Things

Posted on 10 June 2009 by D. Travis North

Little ThingsSo I finally got to spend some quality time with my Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D prime lens.  Now I have to be honest, I think the intent, composition and technical aspects of this photograph is pretty good.  I am not afraid to admit that the subject is perhaps not the strongest aspect of the shot.  I still think I accomplished what I set out to do, however, and I am quite proud of this shot.

I shot this at an aperture of f/18 with a shutter speed of 1/50.  Of course, focal length was 50mm.

  • For me, this shot evokes to feelings, one of the solidarity of the plant standing by itself, but also one of we aren't alone.
