Peter Carey’s People, Places & Patterns Project

Posted on 29 January 2010 by D. Travis North

Peter West Carey is a travel photographer that we have admired and appreciated for while now.  Fairly recently, he started a project called the People, Places & Patterns Project, which is intended to be a photojournalism tour through Morocco, Tanzania and Nepal.  The purpose of his trip is to spark awareness of these foreign cultures (perhaps too foreign for many of us) through his photography and through educational presentations for our youth in America. It’s an inspiring project.

But Peter Carey Needs your help.

The project is to be funded entirely from donations – and there are only 18 days left to meet his goal or the project will not be funded.  These are not donations without a personal benefit – at certain milestones, you will be able to acquire photos from Carey’s journey – and I assure you his photography is top notch.  Check out his gallery for some examples.

What can you do?

As I mentioned, the project is funded by donations.  You can help to educate the young through this inspiring project by sponsoring Peter West Carey by pledging a donation at the KickStarter project page for the People, Places & Patterns Project.  If the project is not fully funded, you get your donation back.  Any little amount will help.  Hurry, there’s not much time left.
