In the past week, we have been wrapping up 2009 and looking forward into 2010. We’ve focused on small details and talked about looking back and reviewing our own works. We’ve looking deep into the future and made some predictions. But now it’s time to talk about our relationship with you – how Shutter Photo’s [...]

Recently, we discovered that our subscriptions page was broken. It is now fixed. If you were one such individual and if you prefer e-mail subscriptions, you can [...]

Just wanted to let everyone know that for the time being, we had to take down our Glossary. It’s a plugin for Wordpress, and it has been giving us some trouble, especially in our RSS feeds. So we decided to take it down until we fix the problem. We’re looking to remedy the problem – either by fixing the plugin or replacing it entirely – as we feel our Glossary is a useful feature to many beginning photographers that visit our site.
If anyone has glossary plugins to recommend, please feel free to mention them.
As always, our goal is to serve you all as best as we possibly can. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.

Many of us have been talking of doing photo projects for the new year. For example, I will be doing a Photo 365 Project called No Words. Other’s have mentioned casually that they were doing similar projects – either in comments here at Shutter Photo, on Flickr or via Twitter. I of course would like to follow as many of your projects as possible, and I’m sure others would like to do the same. So if you are doing a Photo 365 project, or something similar, reply to to this post and tell us where we can find it. Feel free to mention your blogs and websites as well.

Just happened upon a stock photo site I’ve never seen before: Fotolia. Haven’t played with it much yet, but it seems to be about the norm. Commissions are 30% for unranked and non-exclusive shots, which is fairly typical, but shots are much cheaper than anywhere else (as low as $1). Quality bar isn’t set too [...]
